Dr Bernd Eßer, Head of Cyber Defence & CERT, Deutsche Telekom AG, a global telecommunications company represented in over 50 countries with 228,000 employees world-wide, talks about keeping his company safe from outside cyber threats.

Dr Eßer is special keynote speaker at the upcoming annual Global Cyber Security Leaders 2015 summit.

Dr Eßer explains that one of the biggest challenges in cyber security is that many formerly well proven tools and procedures cease to work in cyber-attacks. Signature-based anti-virus solutions then become only very limited in their effectiveness and the concept of perimeter security will be routinely overcome by cyber attackers, just to give two examples.
